Yes... we realise our mistake!
Technically, Hertfordshire is not in the South East Region; it's in the East of England area. We only realised our mistake once we had done the stuctural build of the website, and to take out the button now would seem rather prescriptive.
So, for now we have decided to leave all the Hertfordshire pages as they are. Wherever there is "general" information, for example the Jobcentre Plus content we have included it here because Hertfordshire professionals will find it useful.
Regrettably, at this stage, however, we do not have the resources to find out details of individual organisations in Hertfordshire, like we do for other areas, and post them up here. If, however, you would like to send us these kind of details please do, and we will post them up.
Another reason we have left Hertfordshire secition here is that the SEEN would always support an East of England initiative to provide a website similar to this one, and if our learning can be shared, so much the better.
The text that follows is similar to the text on the Introduction pages of the other area buttons, but please bear in mind our "Hertfordshire issues"!
The idea of the buttons immediately to the right is to give you accessible information, easily and quickly. If this is the first time you've visited this part of the website, please read the Guidelines page before you read the others; it should help you in the way you search for the information you need.
Content held within the various pages will be most useful to you when you can put in as well as take out. You can publicise your services relating to any areas of the the welfare-to-work sector. So, for example, if you are launching a new course for jobseekers please tell us about it, or if you are planning a local networking event for colleagues and employers we want to hear from you about this too.
Whatever you want to say to the rest of the SEEN, it's easy; use the Post up info button in the column on the far right. We will publicise this information within two working days and it will then be seen by over 1000 professionals across the South East.
Finally, we need your support to keep the SEEN up-to-date and accurate. Pages like Programmes and Support orgs will only be helpful to you if the information is correct. So, if you spot any out-of-date information or inaccuracies please contact us and we will put these right.
Similarly, if your organisation isn't listed and you feel it should be, please send us the details and we will put these up in the appropriate place.
