If you have learning disabilities and you have come across this site, please contact Richard Lamplough on 020 8870 6555 who should be able to give you the advice you need.

If you don't have learning disablities this website can support you to find an organisation to help you get a job but it's best for us to give you a little infomation first. The SEEN believes that people with physical disabilities, people with sensory impairments, people with long-term health conditions and some people with mental health issues should have access to “mainstream” advice organisations. It is up to these organisations to make their buildings and services accessible to you.

But we don’t live in a perfect world. In addition, there will likely be a number of “specialist” organisations in your area that provide services that are worth checking out. So within the site you'll find details of loads of organisations... some could be called mainstream, some could be called specialist. The labels aren't important. What's important is that you find one that you can build a relationship with, and that together, you work in harmony on your job search.

So... once you've finished reading this page, go the LOCAL info section of the website - click the area where you live and have a good look through the pages. Whilst the text is aimed at employment support professionals it's as relevant to you as is to them (in fact, it's more so!) You should find it very informative and you'll get loads of key contacts, some of whom might be able to support you to get a job.
